It’s been a tough stretch for the north-most arm of our FGC since the initial loss of their ranbat venue in March 2022. Over a year has now passed since the last official CWQLD offline event.
Things are moving fast in the FGC this month, with the big announcements for #BAM13 starting to land and DreamHack Melbourne coming up just a few weeks away. We’re also well into the swing of weekly and monthly#CWLeague events, meaning there’s a ton of leaderboard points up for grabs across April and beyond…

The FGC’s collective holiday hangover is fading away like the summer heat, and it’s time to dive back into the 2023 CouchWarriors League schedule! That schedule now includes The Game Expo Melbourne, which is set to be one of the first non-ranbat offline tournaments of the year.

CouchWarriors League is officially back for 2023, announcing a new format and points system for the Summer and Winter championship seasons.
The 2023 format emphasizes more local and community events while pivoting the CWL Online schedule from weekly to monthly tournaments. The points awarded at each state’s monthly ranbats have been doubled, making them an even more important battleground for our championship hopefuls.
Starting the year off with a bang, we have teamed up with The Game Expo to bring you a huge FGC major this coming March! Featuring a large list of games and over $6000 in prize money, this will be an event all of you competitors out there won’t want to miss.

October’s events werethe finish line of our CouchWarriors League points race, and with how fierce the competition has been this year that meant a ton more pressure on any leaderboard hopefuls.
CouchWarriors Crossup still looms as the season finale. But the points championship for each game is still a big prize – and for players who can’t travel to that event in person, the biggest one. With one more chance at the 2022 crown, who among them would muster the strength to seize it?
