Battle Arena Melbourne 7 was the largest Fighting Game event on record in Australia, with 628 attendees, and competitors playing for fun and vying for glory, cash, prizes and a coveted BAM trophy or Medal across 16 events. The chance to get together with fellow players in a big community with the excitement and atmosphere of a big tournament makes for a lasting experience. We’re excited to share the results and videos with you.

Madman are Australia’s leading independent film and DVD distributor with the best and latest in anime, manga, asian cinema and cult films. The huge Madman prize package will be shared across all games and the Cosplay Competition.

Team Ninja are the developer of DEAD OR ALIVE 5 LAST ROUND, which will see Australia’s very best fighting it out in the tournament on Sunday 24th.
International guest PERFECT LEGEND will be participating in the DOA5LR tournament. Winner of EVO in 2006 for DOA, Perfect Legend remains a big supporter of the game. You can see him explaining the tutorial mode of the game here.

CouchWarriors is proud to announce Battle Arena Melbourne 7 is an official qualifier for the inaugural MORTAL KOMBAT X™ ASIA PACIFIC CHAMPIONSHIPS 2015
The Top placing Australian or New Zealand player will receive a flight to Bangkok, Thailand, and Qualify directly into the top 4 of Mortal Kombat Asia Pacific Championships (MKAC), held at South East Asia Majors. The winner of the SEAM event will be flown to Las Vegas to compete in Mortal Kombat X at EVO World Championships.

Today we are announcing the first list of confirmed games for BAM7. Battle Arena Melbourne will return on May 22, 23 and 24 at CQ Functions, 123 Queen St Melbourne. This is promising to be the biggest BAM yet, as we are expanding the floorspace to take over the entire venue with all three function room spaces.

Announcing the CouchWarriors schedule of events for 2015! We had a brilliant 2014 with fantastic ranking battle attendances each month, a gangbusters national event in BAM6. We also added Meet N Mash Friday weeklies in the city and hosted tournaments at events like CHAOZ, ANIMAGA and of course PAX AUSTRALIA.
We’re proud to be supporting the fighting game community and looking forward to a fun fighting game filled 2015! We hope to see you at one of these events to compete, learn to play or just have some great sets in your favourite games.
