QLD November 2019 Ranbat Results
CouchWarriors QLD Ranbats for November 2019 were held on Saturday the 2nd at George St Brisbane. Here’s a summary of the results in every game and how the top matches played out. A complete listing of match results and brackets for each game can be viewed on Smash.gg here.
Results for SFV, MK11, Tekken 7, and Smash U count towards the standings for the BAM Path To EVO series for that game, which can be viewed here.
Street Fighter V
- pahnda
- Dale
- 903|SwinGo
Another ranbat that showed the evenness of the QLD scene as Ervin-Jason “pahnda” Garanovic and Dale Roy took the top two spots. Their points here left them leading a pack of 6 QLD players between 26 and 22 points in the SFV Path to EVO standings. Unfortunately, the higher concentration of points in other states leaves them all well behind the leaders.

Tekken 7
- Rest
- jmkayz
- LetsTalkTekken|DrpPnts4Food
Chang “Rest” Seop Park returned this month to resume his dominance over not only the QLD Tekken scene, but the BAM Path to EVO points race. His undefeated run here will help him in a trans-tasman rivalry against last season’s winner Daniel “Kanga|wowzer” Cossington.

DragonBall FighterZ
- Mustella
- KHFC|Driver
- KHFC|SweetLeaves
KHFC’s best were once again denied by Mustella, who extended his winning streak in DragonBall by another month. KHFC|Driver couldn’t get the job done again this month despite getting two shots at the champ. Maybe the final ranbat of 2019 will be his time?
Samurai Shodown
- Jer
- :D?|Sleepmode
- Necromancy Black
“Jer K” has made it the ranbat podium for SamSho a few times before, but this month there was no holding him back. Sleepmode is another player consistently making top 4 at these events – perhaps the near-miss will see his name be the next to rise to the very top.
Smash Melee
- Auro
- LoFT|Manacloud
- Brad
A powerful name reappeared in the finals this month as Sam “Auro” White made a huge run to 1st place. Auro’s dominance was challenged only by LoFT|Manacloud, but that turned out to be a fierce contest in itself as the two finished the night 7-5 in games across 3 sets
Smash Ultimate
- QLD|Ari
- 411|Ben Gold
- QLD|Shitashi
We had seen something of a curse develop around the winners bracket over the last few months, with consistent bracket reset wins in the Smash Ultimate finals. QLD|Ari holding off Ben “411|Ben Gold” Gold shattered that hoodoo and made it 2 wins in 3 months, leaving him 7th in the BAM Path to EVO rankings.
The best masher in QLD is @nairiell and you can’t change my mind. https://t.co/4uB3HiFNkJ

Smash Ultimate Doubles
- 411|Ben Gold / schooner
- QLD|Shitashi / QLD|Ari
- Shadrew / Negima
Another month, another Ben Gold doubles win! This time he brought Schooner along for the ride, and they cruised through the bracket only dropping a single game to the team of Kwaksy and KaiDASH in Winners Quarters.
Ultra Street Fighter IV
- pahnda
- Angus
- Jack Mason
pahnda successfully achieved the Street Fighter double header, sweeping this tournament in addition to claiming top points in SFV!
Congratulations to all of our top-placed competitors from November! You can find details of future ranbat events on the CouchWarriors Facebook page.
